Installation Upgrade

Upgrading an existing installation of Feedback Server® is very straightfoward. Eve though upgade will NEVER delete any of your data or database we do strongly recommend making a backup of your database before any upgrades .

Web Installer Installation Upgrade

Make sure to delete all files from your Feedback Server® web installation. Once all files are deleted copy all new files supplied with the web installer zip file to your directory and go to the following URL : http://yourserver/fs_install/

From there you can specifiy your existing SQL Server and existing Feedback Server® database and the SQL Installer will automatically detect and upgrade your existing Feedback Server® database to the latest version.

Registered License Upgrade

If you purchased Feedback Server® you have to make sure that you downloaded the latest registered license for it and copy it over the provided trial license in your Feedback Server® directory. Each version of Feedback Server® requires you to download the latest license from the member section.

If your upgrade plan subscription has expired you might want to purchase a new upgrade subscription in order to benefit from the new version of Feedback Server®.
